Chapter 39.--MENTALLY ILL, INCAPACITATED AND DEPENDENT PERSONS; SOCIAL WELFARE
Article 9.--ADULT CARE HOMES

      39-941.   Adult care homes; license and regulation; certain organizations exempt.Nothing in this act shall be construed to apply to any licensed generalhospital or any nursing care facility operated by and in conjunctionwith a licensed hospital, or to an adult care home operated by a bonafide nonprofit religious order exclusively for the care of members of suchorder, and no rules, regulations, or standards shallbe made or established under this act for any adult care home, conductedin accordance with the practice and principles of the body known as theChurch of Christ Scientist, except as to the construction, sanitary andsafe conditions of the premises, cleanliness of operation, and itsphysical equipment. Any organizationexempted by this provision may apply for and receive a license, providedit meets the requirements of this act.
