38-2329. Notice of defense of alibi or mentaldisease or defect.A juvenile whose defense to the allegations in the complaintis that of alibi or mental disease or defect shall give written notice to thecounty or district attorneyand the courtof such juvenile's proposed defense not less than 10 days prior to theadjudicatoryhearing. For goodcause shown the court may allow such notice to be given at a later time. Thenotice shall includethe names and addresses of witnesses that the juvenile plans to call toprovide evidence insupport of the defense. Upon receipt of the notice of the defense of mentaldisease or defect, thecourt may order an independent examination of and report on the juvenile.
