Article 2.--LIENS OF HOTEL AND LODGINGHOUSE KEEPERS

      36-203.   Period of detention; sale of property; notices.That said innkeeper, hotelkeeper, boardinghouse keeper, apartment-housekeeper, or rooming-house keeper shall retain such baggage and otherproperty upon which he has a lien for a period of ninety days, at theexpiration of which time if such lien is not satisfied, he may sell suchbaggage and other property at public auction, first giving notice of thetime and place of sale by posting at least three notices thereof inpublic places in the county where the inn, hotel, boardinghouse,apartment house, or rooming house is situated, and also by mailing acopy of such notice addressed to said guest or boarder at the place ofresidence designated by the register of such inn, hotel, boardinghouse,apartment house, or rooming house.
