32-1148. Boat liveries; duties.(a) The owner of a boat livery shall causeto be kept a record of the name and address of the person or persons hiringany vessel which is designed or permitted by him or her to be operated asa motorboat; the identification number thereof; and the departure date andtime, and the expected time of return. The record shall be preserved forat least six months.
(b) Neither the owner of a boat livery, nor his or her agent or employeeshall permit any motorboat or any vessel designed or permitted by him orher to be operated as a motorboat to depart from his or her premises unlessit shall have been provided, either by owner or renter, with the equipmentrequired pursuant to K.S.A. 32-1119 and amendments theretoand any rules and regulations adopted pursuant thereto.
