25-3102. Filling vacancies on county board ofcanvassers; deputy county election officer's authority.In the event that a member of the county board ofcanvassers shall die, be absent, or from any casualty be prevented from servingon such board, the remaining members of the county board of canvassers shallselect an elector to serve on the county board of canvassers in such member'splace. If more than one member of the county board of canvassers shall die, beabsent, or from any casualty be prevented from serving on the county board ofcanvassers, the remaining member or members of the board in consultation withthe county election officershall select electors to serve in their place.Functions and duties of the county election officer may be performed by thedeputy of the county election officer in the absence of the county electionofficer.
