22-2809. Surrender of obligor by surety; release ofsurety.Any person who is released on an appearance bond may be arrested bysuch person'ssurety or any person authorized by such surety and delivered to a custodialofficer of the court in any county in the state in which suchperson is charged.Such person who is arrested as provided in this section shall be broughtbefore any magistrate having power to commit for the crime charged. Themagistrateshall indorse onthe bond, or a certified copyof such bond, thedischarge of such suretyupon the sworn statement, either written or oral, of the surety setting forththe reasons for the discharge. The magistrate may commit the party who isarrested as provided in this section. Such personcommitted as provided in this section shall be held incustody until released as provided by law.
