      12-834a.   Validation of bond election; city of Burns. Any election held prior to the effective date of this act for the approval of the issuance of general obligation water system bonds of the city of Burns, Kansas, in an amount not to exceed $100,000, for the purpose of paying the costs of making repairs and improvements to the water system owned and operated by the city, under the authority of K.S.A. 10-101 et seq., 10-601 et seq., and 12-834, and amendments thereto, notice of which was given by two publications in the official newspaper of the city within the statutorily required time prior to the date of such election, and which election was called by an ordinance adopted by the governing body of the city, which ordinance was not published, is hereby validated. The city is hereby authorized to issue such bonds in the amount and for the purpose approved by the voters at such election. The bonds so issued shall be legal and binding general obligations of the city.
