330.9 PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. Before an airport is acquired by a city or county, the plans and specifications for it shall be submitted to the state department of transportation which shall require that they show the legal description and plat of the site, distance from the nearest post office and railroad station, location and type of highways, location and type of obstructions on and near the site, kind of soil and subsoil, costs and details of grading and draining, and location of proposed runways, hangars, buildings, and other structures. The department shall issue approval of the plans and specifications if it finds that they are in substantial accord with the rules promulgated by the department or with the regulations of the federal aviation administration or other department of the federal government having general supervision of air navigation as it relates to plans and specifications for airports.Section History: Early Form
