327C.12 AID FROM COURTS. The department or the department of inspections and appeals may invoke the aid of any court of record in the state in requiring the attendance and testimony of witnesses and the production of books, papers, tariff schedules, agreements, and other documents. If a person refuses to obey a subpoena or other process, a court having jurisdiction of the inquiry shall issue an order requiring any of the officers, agents, or employees of a carrier or other person to appear before either department and produce all books and papers required by the order and testify in relation to any matter under investigation.Section History: Early Form
