321E.22 - SERVICE OF PROCESS.

        321E.22  SERVICE OF PROCESS.         Service of such process shall be made by serving a copy upon or      filing a copy in the office of the secretary of state.  The service      shall be sufficient service upon the person if notice of the service      and a copy of the process are within ten days sent by registered mail      by the department general counsel to the permit holder at the last      known address of said permit holder.  An affidavit of compliance      therewith of the department general counsel shall be appended to the      summons.  The issuing authority may order such continuances as may be      necessary to afford the permit holder reasonable opportunity to      defend the action.  The secretary of state shall keep a record of all      such processes which shall show the day and hour of such service.
