256.86 COMPETITION WITH PRIVATE SECTOR. It is the intent of the general assembly that the division shall not compete with the private sector by actively seeking revenue from its operations. It is not the intent of the general assembly to prohibit the receipt of charitable contributions as defined by section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. The board, the governor, or the administrator may apply for and accept federal or nonfederal gifts, loans, or grants of funds and may use the funds for projects under this chapter.Section History: Recent Form
