218.9 APPOINTMENT OF SUPERINTENDENTS. The administrator in charge of an institution, subject to the approval of the director of human services, shall appoint the superintendent of the institution. The superintendent or warden shall have immediate custody and control, subject to the orders and policies of the division administrator in charge of the institution, of all property used in connection with the institution except as provided in this chapter. The tenure of office shall be at the pleasure of the appointing authority. The appointing authority may transfer a superintendent or warden from one institution to another.Section History: Early Form
