154A.14 - RECIPROCITY.
154A.14 RECIPROCITY. If the board determines that another state or jurisdiction has requirements equivalent to or higher than those provided in this chapter, the department may issue a license by reciprocity to applicants who hold valid certificates or licenses to dispense and fit hearing aids in the other state or jurisdiction. An applicant for a license by reciprocity is not required to take a qualifying examination, but is required to pay the license fee as provided in section 154A.17. The holder of a license of reciprocity is registered in the same manner as the holder of a regular license. Fees, grounds for renewal, and procedures for the suspension and revocation of license by reciprocity are the same as for a regular license.Section History: Early Form
