        103.12A  RESIDENTIAL ELECTRICIAN AND RESIDENTIAL
      MASTER ELECTRICIAN LICENSE -- QUALIFICATIONS.
         1.  The board may by rule provide for the issuance of a
      residential electrician license, and may by rule provide for the
      issuance of a residential master electrician license.
         a.  A residential electrician license or residential master
      electrician license, if established by the board, shall be issued to
      applicants who meet qualifications determined by the board, and shall
      be valid for the performance of residential installations, subject to
      limitations or restrictions established by the board.
         b.  A person who, on or after July 1, 2009, holds a special
      electrician license authorizing residential electrical installation,
      granted pursuant to section 103.13, shall be eligible for conversion
      of that special license to either a residential electrician license
      or a residential master electrician license, if established by the
      board, in accordance with requirements and procedures established by
      the board.
         2.  A person licensed by the board as a class A journeyman
      electrician or a class B journeyman electrician, or as a class A
      master electrician or a class B master electrician, shall not be
      required to hold a residential electrician or residential master
      electrician license to perform any type of residential installation
      authorized for a person licensed pursuant to this section.
         3.  The board may reject an application for licensure under this
      section from an applicant who would be subject to suspension,
      revocation, or reprimand pursuant to section 103.35.
