         Bonds shall not be required of the following public officers:
         1.  Governor.
         2.  Lieutenant governor.
         3.  Members of the general assembly.
         4.  Judges of the supreme and district courts and district
      associate judges.
         5.  Township trustees.
         6.  City council members, including city commissioners and
      aldermen, other than mayors.
