        600B.8  WHO MAY INSTITUTE PROCEEDINGS.         The proceedings may be brought by the mother, or other interested      person, or if the child is or is likely to be a public charge, by the      authorities charged with its support.  After the death of the mother      or in case of her disability, it may also be brought by the child      acting through its guardian or next friend.
