534.215 FALSE STATEMENT FOR CREDIT. A person who knowingly does either of the following is guilty of a fraudulent practice: 1. Makes or causes to be made, directly or indirectly, a false statement in writing with the intent that the false statement shall be relied upon by an association for the purpose of procuring the delivery of property, the payment of cash, or the receipt of credit in any form, for the benefit of the person or of any other person in which the person is interested or for whom the person is acting. 2. Procures the delivery of property, the payment of cash, or the receipt of credit in any form, knowing that a false statement in writing has been made concerning the financial condition or means or ability to pay of the person, or any other person in which the person is interested or for whom the person is acting, if the person knew that the association relied or would rely upon the false written statement.Section History: Recent Form
