509A.7 EMPLOYEE DEFINED. The word "employee" as used in this chapter does not include temporary or retired employees except as otherwise provided in this chapter. However, this section does not prevent a retired employee sixty-five years of age or older from voluntarily continuing in force, at the employee's own expense, an existing contract.
