        8A.203  DIRECTOR -- INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES
      POWERS AND DUTIES.
         The director shall do all of the following as it relates to
      information technology services:
         1.  Prescribe and adopt information technology standards and
      rules.
         2.  Develop and recommend legislative proposals deemed necessary
      for the continued efficiency of the department in performing
      information technology functions, and review legislative proposals
      generated outside of the department which are related to matters
      within the department's purview.
         3.  Provide advice to the governor on issues related to
      information technology.
         4.  Consult with agencies and other governmental entities on
      issues relating to information technology.
         5.  Work with all governmental entities in an effort to achieve
      the information technology goals established by the department.
