50-436. Notice of election -- Contents -- Publication. [effective until january 1, 2011] The city clerk shall give notice for any general or special city election by publishing such notice in at least two (2) issues of the official newspaper of the city. The first publication of notice of election shall be made not less than twelve (12) days prior to the election. The first notice of election shall include the name of the city, the purpose of the election, the date of the election, the polling place in each precinct and the hours during which the polls shall be open for the purpose of voting. The last publication of notice shall be made not less than five (5) days prior to the election. The second notice of election shall state the name of the city, the date of the election, the purpose of the election, the polling place in each precinct and the hours during which the polls shall be open for the purpose of voting.
