Law 12-43, the “CFO Membership on the Health and Hospitals Public Benefit Corporation Board, Council Review of Board Promulgations, and Approval of Organizational and Operational Plan Amendment Act of 1997,” was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 12-109, which was referred to the Committee on Economic Development. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on June 3, 1997, and June 17, 1997, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on July 17, 1997, it was assigned Act No. 12-127 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 12-43 became effective on October 8, 1997.
Law 12-285, the “Confirmation Amendment Act of 1998,” was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 12-261, which was referred to the Committee on Government Operations. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on Nov. 10, 1998, and Dec. 1, 1998, respectively.
