Sec. 53-190. Power boats on Killingly Pond, Alexander's Lake or Lake Wononscopomuc. Any person who operates a boat propelled in whole or in part by an
internal combustion engine or an explosive engine with a total piston displacement in
excess of twelve cubic inches either on Killingly Pond or Alexander's Lake, in the
town of Killingly, or on Lake Wononscopomuc, in the town of Salisbury, shall have
committed an infraction. The town marine officers of Killingly and Salisbury may enforce the provisions of this section within their respective jurisdictions. The East Killingly fire department may operate on Killingly Pond, for training and rescue purposes,
a boat that is propelled by an engine with a total piston displacement in excess of the limit
established by this section upon the approval of the Commissioner of Environmental
Protection.

History: P.A. 86-89 made violations an infraction, authorized enforcement by town marine officers of Killingly and
Salisbury and authorized operation of a training boat on Killingly Pond by the East Killingly fire department.
