Sec. 46b-149c. Truancy and other family with service needs cases. Duties of
Judicial Branch. With respect to truancy and other family with service needs cases,
the Judicial Branch shall:
(1) Coordinate programs and services with other state agencies;
(2) Establish protocols in cooperation with the Office of Policy and Management,
the Department of Children and Families and the Department of Education for referral
to community-based intervention programs prior to referral of a case to the superior
court for juvenile matters;
(3) Develop and use procedures to evaluate the risk and service needs of children
whose cases have been referred to the superior court for juvenile matters; and
(4) Collaborate with community-based programs.
