Sec. 38a-602. (Formerly Sec. 38-213). Renewal of license. The authority of all
licensed societies may be renewed annually, but in all cases shall terminate on the first
day of the succeeding May. Any license so issued shall continue in effect until the new
license is issued or specifically refused. For each such license or renewal the society
shall pay the commissioner ten dollars. A certified copy or duplicate of such license
shall be prima facie evidence that the licensee is a fraternal benefit society within the
meaning of sections 38a-595 to 38a-626, inclusive, 38a-631 to 38a-640, inclusive, and
38a-800.
