Sec. 25-45. Local ordinances concerning reservoirs. The legislative body of any
city or borough may make, alter and repeal ordinances to regulate or prevent fishing,
trespassing or any nuisance in or upon any property of such city or borough or of any
subdivision thereof. Such ordinances may provide for the imposition of a fine not exceeding fifty dollars or imprisonment for not more than six months, or both, for any
violation thereof. The common council of any city or the warden and burgesses of any
borough may appoint special constables to protect reservoir property and to execute any
such ordinance and any provision of the statutes relating to protection of water supply,
and for that purpose such constables shall have all the powers of constables of towns.
