INSTRUCTIONS: ALABAMA FIREFIGHTER CERTIFICATION ACT 2004-637

According to Alabama Act 2004-637 permit full-time certified firefighters or law enforcement officers who do not receive state policeman coverage to purchase a Hazardous Duty service credit. This is done by filing the form discussed in this article, which can be found on the website of the Retirement Systems of Alabama.
