Conciliation

a form of alternate dispute resolution in which a neutral third-party hears both sides and then issues a non-binding suggested resolution

Concubinage

Civil law term for an unmarried couple living nonetheless as husband and wife or, where same-sex relationships are recognized by law, such similar cohabitation relationships.

Condition Precedent

contractual condition that suspends the coming into effect of a contract unless or until a certain event takes place

Condition Subsequent

a condition in a contract that causes the contract to become invalid if a certain event occurs

Conditional Discharge

a sentence of a person found guilty of a crime in which, upon completion of specified actions by the accused, no criminal record is issued as regards to the offense for which a conditional discharge was granted

Conditional Sentence

a sentence of a person convicted of a crime which allows that person to serve his sentence within their community, subject to supervision and reporting, and fully recoverable in the event of breach of those conditions
