403.16—What are the personnel requirements regarding coordination with programs for individuals of limited English proficiency?
(a)
A State desiring to participate in programs authorized by the Act shall designate or assign the head of the State office or other appropriate individual responsible for administering programs for students of limited English proficiency to review all or a representative sample of applications from eligible recipients to ensure that—
(2)
The needs of students of limited English proficiency for participation in vocational education programs are being met as outlined in the applications of eligible recipients.
(b)
For the purposes of this section, the term “State” includes only the fifty States, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
