193.2—Definitions.
(a)
For purposes of eligibility, the term covered family members shall be defined as prescribed by the Office of Personnel Management in accordance with 5 CFR § 890.1202.
(b)
The term United States economic sanctions against Iraq means the exercise of authorities under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act by the President with respect to financial transactions with Iraq.
(c)
The term United States national means any individual who is a citizen of the United States or who, though not a citizen of the United States, owes permanent allegiance to the United States.
(d)
The term lawful permanent resident means any individual who has been lawfully accorded the privilege of residing permanently in the United States as an immigrant in accordance with the immigration laws, such status not having changed.
