701.2—Creation and basic authority.
The Water Resources Council was established by the Water Resources Planning Act of 1965 (Pub. L. 89-80, 79 Stat. 244, as amended (42 U.S.C. 1962-196 2d-5)). The rules and regulations of this part are promulgated by authority of section 402 of the Act (42 U.S.C. 1962d-1 ).
